I help organizations untangle digital operations so content, design, and technology work together and keep working at scale. I’ve been doing this for 20+ years, across a few different chapters:

  • Web design & information architecture: building experiences from scratch back when “digital” was still the new thing.
  • Financial services: more than a decade turning complex data into clear, usable products at Investment Metrics and Rogerscasey.
  • Cierant: a short, formative stretch leading digital content and CX design across B2B e-commerce, telecom, and healthcare.
  • Charter Communications (Spectrum): for the last six-plus years, I built and lead the digital content operations team supporting Spectrum’s customer-facing support experience, one of the largest self-service properties in the U.S.

What I’ve learned along the way is that the hardest part is rarely the design or the technology. It’s building the foundation that makes both work: workflows, governance, systems, and clear team roles. And ultimately, making sure it still holds up when you’re not in the room.

Experience

Manager, Digital Content and CX Development

Cierant Corporation

Led creation of Digital Content and Customer Experience Design department to manifest creative thinking and design output that best represents the firm’s vision and goals. Collaborate with creative teams, project managers, developers, and clients to understand and incorporate technical, business, and user requirements into usable designs through sketches, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and the production of final asset hand-offs to developers for specific features and projects.

  • Improved customer experience by developing custom UI controls for XMPie (variable data web-to-print) B2B and B2C e-commerce sites, including branded store skins, integrated 3-D product rendering, custom check-out processes, and triggered email campaigns
  • Developed end-to-end work flow and user experience of a customer touch portal for a major telecommunications equipment provider that allows for customized on-demand and scheduled coupon delivery and redemption tracking of end-user purchases
  • Developed end-to-end work flow and user experience of a member engagement management platform for a leading healthcare provider where members receive rewards for participating in self-care activities

Investment Metrics

Led a team of marketing and product managers tasked to create branding for a new start-up. Upon launch, was responsible for creative direction for multiple SaaS products and services, specifically UX/UI design for internal and external websites, research publications, and marketing collateral.

  • Reduced client on-boarding and support time by creating detailed user guides focused on getting started with our external web portal for managing and delivering client content
  • Improved quarterly net-flow reporting generation and iteration by developing a process of importing and mapping raw data into pre-formatted InDesign templates
  • Slashed time-to-market 90% for research and market publications by designing a workflow and template process to repurpose content across multiple channels

Responsible for design and development for corporate web sites and web-based applications, and marketing collateral production. Developed design systems, training, and support for conference director and editorial board.

  • Reduced conference costs 20% annually by bringing design and creative development in-house
  • Cut micro-site development time 75% for online webinar/conference registration by creating a rapid deployment WAMP stack built on the Joomla CMS framework
